Privacy Statement
Warminster and District Foodbank is committed to protecting the privacy of any personal information you share with us, or we get from other organisations and keep it safe.
This statement describes how Warminster and District Foodbank collects and uses personal information from volunteers, distributors, donors, supporters and service users, what we do with it, what controls you have over the use of it, and the security measures we have in place to keep your personal information safe.
We hold and process your personal information lawfully in accordance with Article 6 of the general Data protection regulation 2018.

How do we collect information?
We obtain personal information directly from our volunteers, distributors, supporters and service users when they enquire about our service, complete an application form/food voucher/donate food/money or otherwise provide us with personal information.
We may also receive personal information from third parties for example distributors, other service providers.
The information from third parties will only be passed on to us when you have agreed to this.
You should check the third party’s Privacy Statement when you provide information to understand fully how they will process it.
What information do we collect?
The personal information we collect might include name, address, contact details.
We also gather general information to assist in data collection used for stock control of our food store, planning for future needs and to review our service provision.
How do we use this information?
We will mainly use your information to:
* provide you with the service or information asked for
* administer your donation including processing gift aid
* send out information
* statistical data for stock control of food, service use, planning for future needs and to review service provision.
The data collected is used anonymously – it does not identify individuals.
Vouchers are shredded at the end of each month after statisitics are generated.
Warminster and District Foodbank will not share, sell or send your information to third parties.
We may need to disclose your personal information if required by law or if we have your permission to do so.
Should long term provision of food be required we may ask for proof of benefits/personal circumstances to ensure fair distribution of food stocks. We may ask you to access Cornerstone services to see if more funds can be found.
How do we protect personal information?
We have security measures in place to safeguard against loss, misuse and alteration of personal data under our control.
Security and privacy policies are regularly reviewed and upgraded as required and online contact is securely monitored and protected by secure servers.
Your personal information is kept only for so long as it is necessary for the purpose for which it was used to be completed e.g. provision of food.
It is then securely disposed of.
Right of Access
You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you and to have any errors in that information corrected.
You have the right to object to the information being collected or processed.
You have the right to complain if you have concerns regarding the handling of your information.

Consent
Vouchers requesting food are completed by foodbank staff, during a telephone conversation.
Details of clients are kept securely and destroyed after 28 days. Data is collected without using clients personal data.
Your consent is assumed, but you may withdraw consent at anytime. Please inform the foodbank staff or email via warminsterfb@gmail.com.
